Towson’s Family Reading Night (April 2022)

Annual report 2022j.jpg

To acknowledge the  “Week of the Young Child,” an annual celebration created by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Priddy Library collaborated with Towson University Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education/Special Education Programs, hosting its first Early Childhood Education Reading Night. This event brings together young children, families, teachers, and community members to celebrate and recognize early learning programs and services. For the Reading Night many children’s books were selected from the shelves in the library and put on display in the collaboration area. The event was wonderful! We had a number of families attend and the children really enjoyed sitting with our future teachers and hearing stories that they selected themselves.
