From July 2013 to June 2014 the Priddy Library continued to grow and adapt to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff at USG. The library connection with the community was strengthened through a series of events that reflect its cultural diversity and historical experiences.  Library users now have expanded opportunities for self-expression and communication through the Open Wall and new touch screen technologies. Innovation and experimentation motivated improvement in services and the library environment through trials in the use of collaborative technologies and exploration in space planning. Streamlined access to an expanding collection of i-pads, laptops and technological accessories became possible through the implementation of an Equipment Management System. Reference and research support for partner institutions expanded with Chat Service and to MCPS patrons with consolidated access to subscribed electronic resources.  Accomplishments and professional service of the Priddy Library staff included completion of masters’ degrees, book publishing, and conference presentations.

During this period library attendance, circulation of materials, research assistance and library instruction increased by all measures. Demand for individual reference assistance, course reserves and reservation of group study rooms expanded significantly beyond regular to extended hours.
